Welcome to Madame d'Aulnoy's Parisian Salon. The year is 1699, the plague threatens and Mme D, the Godmother of Fairy Tales, is in lockdown. Sidelined fairy tale characters are desperate to tell her their side of the story, but what can she do? The Magic Mirror comes to the rescue, leading to an intimate, behind-the-scenes expose of what's really going on in your favourite fairy tales: Why Grandma was in bed with a wolf, how the golden-egg-laying goose became revolutionised, why six of Bluebeard’s six wives died unnoticed…and what this all has to do with the revolution.
Nominated for best cabaret at the Melbourne Fringe, best team behind a solo show and best 18+ show for the Young-Howze Theater Awards (USA) this digital reimagining of a live show is magical.
