Spectacle presents: EXTEND, a dynamic, immersive, participatory multi-disciplinary show featuring over 30 Ōtepoti/Dunedin artists coming together to showcase interactive artworks, workshops and live music performances with accompanying visual treats.

Opening 14 March with a FREE event: Ōtepoti/Dunedin-based artists Jess Covell, Shelley Harding, Lucy Hunter and Chris Miller featuring an exhibit showcasing immersive, interactive artworks interpreting the theme 'Extend' and a performance by Ōtepoti experimental jazz quintet Piecemeal.

Community workshops will be hosted on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March by artists Jess Covell and Shelly Harding. Workshops will give attendees the opportunity to learn, share and grow through the artists’ practices of fibre art/tufting and ceramics. Attendees will create a piece acting as an extension of the artists' works. Pieces will be available for collection post show. Limited spaces available, koha towards materials. For times and to secure your spot, email: spectacledunedin@gmail.com

As an extension to the exhibit, a series of ticketed events will be held showcasing sonic live performances by Ōtepoti musicians Blood Caldron, Crime Hospital, Human Susan, Murdabike, Strange Stains, The Entire Alphabet, This Software is Shareware, and Youbeepastablaster. Each event will showcase visual treats provided by a local artist, featuring Sam Caldwell, Jess Covell, Joel Field and Dylan Pringle. Tickets $10 through the Fringe website, with cash door sales on the night if available.

Nominated for Dunedin Fringe Festival's Best Original Concept, Best Dance and Outstanding Technical Achievement for their debut show in 2021, and nominated for Excellence in Music for their interactive band at Spectacle presents: PLAY in 2023.
