Queer Poetry Night : Dunedin Fringe Festival

Queer Poetry Night

Ōtepoti | Dunedin

Join us for an intimate evening of queer poetry, hosted by Dunedin Pride

Ōtepoti | Dunedin

Dunedin Pride's Queer Poetry Night is a space for our local takatāpui and rainbow community to share and celebrate queer voices in poetry.

This is a relaxed and easy, open mic format event. We invite you to come share a poem: it could be a piece you have written yourself, or a favourite from another poet. Listen to queer perspectives in poetry and support our awesome local poets.

Poetry night has been a long time coming ...

The seed for this event was planted during an Open Book session earlier this year (Open Book is the reading club Dunedin Pride runs in partnership with Dunedin Public Libraries). In one of our meet ups, we each brought in queer poems, shared our favourites and reflected together. It was gorgeous.

For Fringe 2023, this is something we're proud to bring back!

Join us at the Dunedin Pride x Fringe Hub for a special evening.
