Help recreate the elusive, mysterious, almost-mythic (it's been a while) Star Fountain in the Octagon.

Presented by: Moose of Fire Productions

Ahh, the Octagon glory days. When footpaths were tarseal, parking was angle and plentiful, buses were LOUD, men peed underground, and fountains went UP.

Friday night meant Big Daddy's (pre-internet were different times) and waiting for the music, lights and choreography of a duck's worst nightmare. One minute you're swimming around, quacking and chilling, then suddenly you're experiencing a bidet the likes of which belongs only on tape in a very small and hidden section of a video store.

For over 30 years, Dunedin residents have asked "where is it?", "did all the carparks go there too?", and "why were the new fountains giving Soviet-era architecture-meets-urinal vibes, right at the end of the Cold War?"

For a limited time only, experience once again the thrill of squirty pipes for your entertainment pleasure.
