Quarantine Island

Otago Harbour

The island is a public recreation reserve. Access is via boat (your own or a charter or water taxi/ferry service). From the dock, there is a path up to the buildings. Tracks on the island are uneven, narrow and can be slippery.  Wear appropriate closed footwear with grip on the soles. There are a number of steep or unstable cliffs and slopes around the coast of the Island.
