Join 8-year-old Ellen and her trusted crew members Neil Armstrong, Yuri Gagarin, Valentina Tereshkova and Laika the space dog on an extraordinary journey, past the edge of the unknown, and onto the surface of the mysterious and dangerous planet, Vitanonan X.

About The Rebel Alliance

The Rebel Alliance is an independent Auckland-based theatre company. Founded in 2006, they have, to date, presented 11 works, seven of which have been premieres of new New Zealand plays. They also started off the development of Centrepoint which co-won the Adam Award for best new New Zealand play in 2015.

Often solidly planted in real life, the works they present prove that truth often surpasses fiction. Extraordinary life stories move, provoke, inspire and put our own lives into perspective. They can anchor us in turbulent times.

In 2024, they premiered their 11th play, The Valentina, as part of the Auckland Arts Festival.
