Maggie Cocco's Science for Sociopaths

Performance Art Music Digital/Online

There is no fourth wall. An intimate multimedia show for musician, artist, and audience.

In October 2020 American singer-songwriter Maggie Cocco premiered an emotional, multi-sensory, and interactive experiment at Whangarei Fringe. The novel show featuring original music and improvised collaborations with audience and local artists has been captivating audiences across New Zealand, earning an award for Best Music Performance at Auckland Fringe 2021.

This show features a 10-song cycle for voice and piano. Improvised visual art channels the intrinsic emotion of the musical narrative in real time. At regular intervals throughout, the audience is invited to express their own interpretation of events via the artistic medium(s).
