What does it take to be cool? A leather jacket? Wearing sunglasses indoors? Anime and pop-culture tattoos? Whatever it may be, Stephen Lefebvre certainly has it.

Stephen brings his latest stand-up show, LaFev | A Comedy to the Dunedin Fringe, delivering a sharp, satirical, and hilariously revealing hour of comedy. Nothing is sacred as he explores religion, guilt, health, bullying, and the little obsessions that define modern life – all while dropping a metric tonne of film references along the way. His storytelling blends wit, wordplay, and self-deprecating honesty, creating a show that’s funny, relatable, and occasionally uncomfortably true.

A seasoned performer, Stephen has previously wowed Christchurch audiences with God; Or, the Existence of a Higher Power and Other Fairy-Tales and Panda Boy, which were both warmly received. His debut show even won him Best Newcomer at the 2018 Christchurch Comedy Carnival. Now, he makes his debut at Dunedin Fringe with a show that promises to entertain, excite, amuse, and bemuse in equal measure.

Whether he’s dissecting teenage bullying, poking fun at religion, or revealing uncomfortable truths about himself, one thing is certain: you’ll be laughing, cringing, and overthinking your own life along the way.

So grab a seat and prepare for a night of laughter, reflection, and a little existential chaos. By the end of the show, audiences might even leave feeling slightly cooler.
