COVID-19 Resources : Dunedin Fringe Festival

COVID-19 Resources

On Saturday 27th new government legislation states that for all live performances, outward-facing entertainers and all of those working in the entertainment sector will be required to be fully vaccinated by January 17th 2022.

We’ve been actively preparing for this and the Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust (DFAT) board (our governing body) has finalised our Vaccine Certification Policy (VCP). This was created in accordance with the NZ Government COVID-19 Protection Framework (aka the traffic light system).

We appreciate that for many people this is a sensitive topic. It touches upon significant issues including human rights and the Fringe open access kaupapa. We hope you understand that we have to comply with the legislation if the Fringe is going to go ahead. And agree that it will improve the health and safety of our participants, and economic viability of events.

Please find our Vaccine Certification Policy below.
