The Nude Exhibition

"What spirit is so empty and blind, that it cannot recognize the fact that the foot is more noble than the shoe, and skin more beautiful than the garment with which it is clothed?" — Michelangelo

The Nude Exhibition

Otago Art Society and guest artists present a celebration of the human body. The ‘Nude’ has a long history in art dating back centuries and this exhibition showcases how it is being presented by contemporary New Zealand artists working today.

Hosted within the galleries of the OAS on the first floor of the Dunedin Railway Station, a variety of genres and mediums will be on display. From the traditional to the experimental, the demure to the erotic, this show will both challenge and delight in equal measure.
