You can contact the Fringe Production Manager Alex for advice.  We also recommend checking out the Worksafe NZ website, or contacting one of their personnel.

Apra Licences

If you are planning to use copyright music in your event, you may need to obtain a licence from APRA (Australasian Performing Right Association). Information about this, as well as the license guide and application form, can be found here.

  • When all music has been approved for your production, a licence agreement can be granted to cover the use of works controlled by APRA for the performance period.

  • You may need to apply for some rights directly with the publisher and / or some unpublished writers - APRA will provide you with the rights holder’s contact details.

  • Dramatic Context Licence applications should be submitted approximately six to eight weeks prior to performance, so now is the perfect time to apply.

Colleen Davis will be administering all licenses for Dunedin Fringe performances. To apply, please complete and return the application form to Colleen directly: (09) 624 5754.

All Things Ticketing

If you need any information about ticketing for your show, want to set up ticket discount codes, or are having issues with your doorlist:  contact Han or Katrina

Volunteers are on hand to help with a multitude of tasks, especially for those of you who are running independent shows with only a small team. However, please keep in mind that this is dependent on how many volunteers we have, and the number of jobs to be done. We are a dedicated team, but are also very busy!
