Unfortunately this event has been cancelled. Does art come from our human part or our animal part? If the answer is the latter, why aren’t more sheep exhibiting nationally in galleries? From acclaimed comedian Jesse Griffin (Wilson Dixon) comes a totally immersive show about art. “Centaur is a hilarious and unique comedy experience that is a must-see for comedy fans looking for something different.” KUWNZ Since humans started living in caves there has been art, and art critics. "I thought the depiction of the migrating buffalo being attacked by spear wielding clan members was overly simplistic and brutal, and trivialised both the migration of the buffalo and something else." Expect the very finest in art speak/wank as the comedian as artist exhibits a number of art pieces he’s created and performs several live artistic pieces for the audience to experience. Accompanying this is an accompanying commentary along with criticism of the artworks and the world at large. The audience will be encouraged to enter the artistic discourse - although their views and input will be largely ignored. "(Jesse) Griffin is one of the most hilarious creatures in New Zealand, and his vivacity and confidence in this show was admirable." What's Good, 2016 Jesse Griffin is best known to NZ audiences for his FRED Award winning country singer character Wilson Dixon which has played to sold out houses nationwide and overseas.
